Modern Apprenticeship in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Motorcycle) - Level 2
To achieve the Modern Apprenticeship certificate, apprentices must successfully complete:
- A Level 2 VRQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Motorcycle)
- A Level 2 S/NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Motorcycle)
- All five Core Skills at appropriate levels
- A successful period of employment in a motorcycle garage or dealership
The course uses a mix of theory and practical activities to develop the skills required to service, maintain and repair a range of motorcycles. The course programme includes: Routine Motorcycle Maintenance, Remove and Replace Engine Units and Components, Remove and Replace Auxiliary Electrical Units and Components, and Remove and Replace Chassis Units and Components.
Entry Requirements
3 Standard Grades at General Level; including maths and a science
Mature learners may have experience of paid and/or unpaid employment.
Further Study/Employment
Progression to a Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Motorcycle).
