Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light Vehicle) - Level 3 *Course now FULL*
This Level 3 programme further develops knowledge and skills required for employment and/or career progression within the automotive sector. The course uses a mix of theory supported by practical skills and techniques and is recognised by the Sector Skills Council as a VRQ/Technical Certificate; which can be used as evidence of underpinning knowledge in a related Modern Apprenticeship framework.
The course contains practical activities and on-line Underpinning Knowledge tests used to assess competence and understanding. The areas covered include: Diagnose and Rectify Light Vehicle Engine and Component Faults, Diagnose and Rectify Vehicle Chassis System Faults, Diagnose and Rectify Auxiliary Equipment Electrical Faults.
Entry Requirements
Level 2 Certificate in appropriate/equivalent qualification.
Further Study/Employment
This course prepares you for further study at HNC/D level in Automotive Engineering or progression into a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) or Modern Apprenticeship in this subject area.
