Aromatherapy VTCT Certificate
This course allows you to develop the theoretical and practical skills required to become a practicing therapist. You will cover areas such as selection and blending of essential oils and the application of massage techniques. You will also learn about the history of aromatherapy and the chemical and botanical ingredients in essential oils.
You will be assessed during the course by carrying out practical treatments in the commercial salons and by completing written assessments, projects and assignments.
You are required to purchase an aromatherapy essential oils kit and appropriate protective clothing. The cost of this kit will be approximately £50.
Entry Requirements
A relevant anatomy and physiology qualification is required.
Further Study/Employment
You can progress to VTCT Advanced Techniques in Aromatherapy or to further studies in related complementary therapies. This course also prepares you for employment or self-employment as an aromatherapist.
