Beauty Therapy HNC
This course will develop your beauty therapy skills and knowledge to a professional level. You will cover advanced beauty treatments such as contemporary aesthetics, specialist make-up techniques, spa treatments and reflexology. You will also learn about applied anatomy and physiology and cosmetology. Your consultation skills will be enhanced through case studies.
During the course you will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of linked activities including visits to trade fairs and exhibitions and the chance to participate in beauty therapy competitions, presentations and demonstrations.
You will be assessed during the course by carrying out practical treatments in the commercial salons and by completing written assessments, projects and assignments.
You are required to purchase a beauty therapy kit, appropriate protective clothing and textbooks.
Entry Requirements
VTCT Certificate in Complementary Therapies or equivalent.
Further Study/Employment
You can progress to a degree level course in a related subject area. This course prepares you for employment within a salon, therapy clinic or health spa or for self-employment.
