A1 Assessor Unit
The A1 Assessor Unit is appropriate for you if your role involves assessing candidates against agreed standards of competence using a range of assessment methods.
On this course you will develop plans for assessing competence with candidates, judge evidence against criteria to make assessment decisions, provide feedback and support to candidates on assessment decisions and contribute to the internal quality assurance process. You will study the assessing of candidates using different assessment methods such as watching candidates perform in the workplace, asking candidates questions, taking account of past experience and achievements, setting tests, projects and tasks, arranging simulations, assessing the candidate’s report of their work and using evidence from other people, including peers and witnesses. Assessment is carried out using e-portfolio.
Entry Requirements
You must be internally verifying other assessors’ evidence
Further Study/Employment
After a period of 6 months from achieving your A1 you can undertake the V1 Verifier Unit if you are working in the appropriate role.
