Education Support Assistant PDA
A child’s educational experience is shaped by the adults who support and challenge them in their learning. Classroom Assistants can create a positive learning environment for all children. As a classroom assistant, you’ll have the opportunity to build a child’s self esteem, improve their quality of life, and be an agent of change in their schooling experience.
On this course you will work effectively with the class teacher, support school pupils including those with additional needs, carry out administrative tasks and assist with classroom organisation and the creation of a positive learning environment.
On this course you will spend one day a week on a school placement.
Entry Requirements
4 Standard Grades at Credit Level or appropriate experience
Further Study/Employment
Successful completion of the course may allow progression to HNC Early Education and Childcare or employment as a classroom assistant.
