Computing HNC
This course provides you with an opportunity to study a wide variety of computing areas, including Technical Support and Software Development, with the opportunity to advance into second year of HND in either of these areas.
The course content consists of Computer Operating Systems, Desktop Computer Troubleshooting (following MCDST course), Hardware Installation, Computer Architecture, VB .Net Programming, Working in Teams and Systems Development.
You will have the opportunity to study with professional materials as part of this course preparing you for exams from Microsoft. This can lead to attainment of, highly sought after professional qualifications at a minimal cost.
This course contains an exam for which you will obtain a grade A, B or C. The grade is often used by Universities to help select candidates for entry to degree courses.

1 Higher, Relevant NQ. Work related skills will also be considered
Further Study/Employment
Entry to year 2 of appropriate HND programme. This will open doors to further professional qualification opportunities and to year 3 of university degree courses.
Or you may wish to look for employment in a computer support position.
