Digital Art and Design HNC *Course now FULL*
This course combines academic knowledge and practical subjects and is an excellent route into art and design, illustration, web design and advertising.
Subjects studied include Developmental Drawing, Digital Imaging, Art and Design Context, Art and Design Project, today’s Creative Industries, Computer Arts and Design and a Graded Unit which assigns a value of A, B or C to the award.
You will have to produce a considerable amount of original artwork using a raft of different materials. This culminates in a professional portfolio capable of being presented to potential employers or university if further study is desired.
This course is challenging but extremely rewarding in preparing you for today’s commercial environment. Adobe ACA exam available.

Further Study/Employment
Articulation route into the HND programme at a Glasgow college although an HND route should be available in Motherwell by 2011. The HNC may also be accepted to certain university art and design programs of study. Employment opportunities include freelance artist or designer in a range of environments.
