Computer Aided Design and Technology NC
This course is for those who wish to develop a career in Design and Technology with a specific interest in Computer Aided Design (CAD). It is an excellent starting point and will provide a good grounding in the practical and theoretical aspects of the CAD industry.
The course covers:
Mandatory Core (3 Credits): Communications Core Skills, Mathematics: Technician 1, Engineering: Using Information Technology.
Plus: CAD for Engineers, Engineering Materials, Graphical Communication, Engineering Workshop skills, Engineering Assembly skills, Product Design.
Entry Requirements
Mathematics and English at level 3 and preferably a Science subject, Craft and Design, Product Design or Graphical Communications
Further Study/Employment
Opportunities to progress to employment in a design and technology environment and progression to a Higher National Qualification in either Computer Aided Draughting and Design or Computer Aided Architectural Design and Technology or another Engineering based HNC.
