Computer Aided Architectural Design and Technology HNC
A unique, 21st century approach to architectural studies, this course offers a design-centred approach to architectural technologies, embracing digital and ICT methods in the application of CAD software programs in the realisation of a wide range of topics relevant to the architectural / construction industry.
The course includes:
Mandatory Units: Architectural CADT: Principles and Practice, Architectural CADT: Residential Design, CAD: User Systems,
Architecture: Form, Order and Composition,
Architectural CADT: Construction Detailing,
Architectural Professional Practice: Design, Management, Computer Aided Architectural Design and Technology: Graded Unit 1, plus
various optional units as required.
Entry Requirements
3 Standard Grade passes, 1 Higher grade pass
Further Study/Employment
Successful completion of the HNC award provides progression into the HND Computer Aided Architectural Design and Technology course. May also lead to employment within architectural / design practices.
