Access to Hospitality

The course is designed for those without formal qualifications and returning adults. If you want to study or have worked in the hospitality industry and are interested in a career in a fast growing, competitive industry, this course could suit you.

The programme enables you to develop knowledge of the hospitality industry by studying a number of theoretical and practical modules as well as undertaking industry recognised qualifications.

You will undertake:
REHIS Certification, Licensing, Food Preparation and Costing, Supervision and Leadership, Front of House Operations, Communication, Information Technology.

Modules will be assessed through practical activities, written and integrated assignments.

There are no formal entry requirements

Further Study/Employment

After successful completion of this course, the qualification provides the relevant mix of competencies to enable entry into various courses run by the Department, from Professional Cookery to Hospitality Management.
