Employment & Careers Advice
The Employment Centre is situated on the 1st floor of the main teaching block.
There are many ways, as a student in a competitive labour market, you can gain the work experience and employability skills employers require. Staff in the Employment Centre can help you find those employment opportunities.
One option is for you to undertake a placement or internship during your course. Another option is to gain experience and additional income by taking up part-time or seasonal work.
Employment Centre services include:
- advice and guidance on available jobs and which ones are suitable for you
- help with contacting employers and interview arrangements
- interview follow up and feedback service
- information on summer jobs and seasonal work
- providing information on graduate schemes and vacancies
- employment law and working rights

Job vacancies are advertised on notice boards around the College.Careers Scotland
Careers Scotland has a base within the College and provides a careers advice service to students.
The Careers Scotland website – www.careers-scotland.org.uk - is the ideal starting point for students when career planning. There are five main sections which cover:

- research your career - allows you to investigate job options in more detail

- interview skills - preparing for job and university interviews
