Student Charter

The Charter offers our students a statement of the quality of service they can expect as a right from the College.

Motherwell College has a major commitment to providing services free from discrimination on the grounds of ethnic or social origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status or religion. The College recognises the dignity and worth of every individual and promises equal opportunities for all.

As we are one of Scotland's largest further education colleges, it is not possible, in this Charter, to identify all the College's services or its plans for the future, but detailed information is contained in the College's marketing literature, the Student Guide and the Strategic and Operational Plans.

Statement of Principle

We believe our students are important people who are entitled to receive courtesy, respect, interest, enthusiasm and commitment from all College staff. Students are entitled to expect an educational experience of the highest quality which has relevance for personal development, future employment or further study.

Personal Learning and Support Plan

If you have a disability or a learning difficulty, you are entitled to an assessment leading to the formation of a detailed Personal Learning and Support Plan which commits the College to provide the specified services, equipment, care and support needs identified. Contact Lorna Ashe, 01698 232470 for more information.
