Making a Complaint

At Motherwell College we aim to provide opportunities for learning in a caring and supportive environment. If you feel that this is not happening, the normal route for complaint or appeal is firstly through your class tutor. If the matter is not resolved at this stage, the next person to contact is the Curriculum Leader and then the Head of Department. If you are still not satisfied you may submit your complaint in writing to the Student Services Manager Jim Sweeney. Further information and advice can be obtained from the Student Advice Centre and Student Services staff are available to help at any stage.

Quality

Feedback is obtained from College customers (students and employers) each year through questionnaires and focus groups, the results of which are analysed and considered for action by senior management.

Appeals Procedure

The College has an established appeals procedure, copies of which are available from Jim Sweeney, Student Services Manager. All appeals should be submitted in writing to Brian Casey, Assistant Director for Curriculum.

Learner Behaviour

At Motherwell College we expect all learners to respect others and will NOT condone behaviour that obstructs learning or threatens the safety and security of others. If required, the Learner Behaviour Policy and Procedure will be used to deal with any behaviour that causes concern.
