Counselling and Chaplaincy
College work isn't always easy. You may have personal or financial problems to deal with, or you might find the going tough for some other reason. Whatever difficulty you encounter, the student counselling service is there to help.
Counselling offers the time and space to talk through any difficult issues you are experiencing. Rather than providing advice or practical solutions, a counsellor will listen and support you in making your own decisions.
Appointments can be arranged with female or male counsellors and a counselling service is available for deaf students - the counsellor is deaf and uses BSL.
The counselling service is free and confidential. Initial appointments usually last for half an hour, with further sessions by arrangement. To make an appointment, contact Billy Findlay, Student Adviser, 01698 232300.
Chaplaincy
The College is committed to developing a multi-faith chaplaincy service, which reflects the range of beliefs represented in College and in the wider community. While Chaplains are unlikely to be regularly available in College, they can be contacted directly to discuss any matter related to their faith or belief. The current list of contacts is:

A Reflection Room is available in the main teaching building on the forth floor23 for use by all members of the college community.

Medical care
Concerns about individual health, or medical treatment can be referred to Student Services staff.
If you wish to register with a local GP practice you can also contact the nurse in the first instance.
