Equality and Diversity
Motherwell College ‘enriches lives’. Our vision statement is unqualified and we are fully committed to supporting all individuals in our community to realise their potential. The College fully embraces the principles of equality and will continue to promote equality and act to eliminate the potential for discrimination and harassment.
The College has produced a Single Equality Scheme to replace a range of Equality Schemes and bring the key underlying principles of each into one document. More fundamentally, it recognises the College’s key duties and responsibilities in respect of equality as set out in the Equality Act 2010.
In all areas of our activity, we seek to be representative of the communities we serve. There is no such thing as a ‘typical’ learner or member of staff at Motherwell College. We greatly value this diversity as it makes us who we are. Through our mission and values, we aspire to be an organisation in which all people are respected, valued and included, irrespective of their backgrounds and role.
